From Shreveport to Buenos Aires for Metro Aviation Upgrade

Metro Aviation (Booth 1743) has a $2.5 million deal to overhaul and upgrade six Eurocopters for Argentina's Provincial Police of Buenos Aires. The BO105CBS-4 aircraft are being brought to a -5 configuration. Work on the first three helicopters will be done at Metro's facility in Shreveport, LA. "The remainder of the work will be accomplished in Argentina in a cooperative effort," Metro says. Two of the aircraft are for EMS missions; they will be upfitted using a Metro BO105 EMS kit carrying STC number 3663SW. All of the aircraft will get a complete engine overhaul, plus avionics upgrade and interior and exterior refurbishing.
