strategically important to challenge Boeing's 747-a monopoly we are not
willing to accept any longer."
The seven nation A400M transport "is of great importance to Airbus
because we need also a military leg like Boeing to increase our international
competitiveness," he said.
The Airbus Integrated Company will be formed "very soon" he
promised, as EADS, with an 80% share of Airbus "will have full control
on all assets, capabilities and capacities," enabling the one management
"to speed up our internal decisionmaking process and to react quicker
to changing market requirements."
