A Makeover for ILA2006

A series of changes are being made to the International Aerospace Exhibition (ILA) for 2006. A more concise show — three trade and three public days — will devote more to space flight, military aviation and defense systems, equipment, aero engines, and general aviation and helicopters than in previous years. The A380 will make an appearance in the show’s commercial aviation segment.

ILA is also taking strides to appeal to the Eastern European and Russian markets. With its relationship with the Russian aerospace show, MAKS, and proximity to the new member countries of NATO, ILA becomes a unique venue for the aerospace industry.

Some 60 conferences and workshops will be held on the three trade days. Topics will include East/West security policy, military aviation, defense systems, means of combating terrorism, current developments in commercial aviation, unmanned aircraft (UAVs), military flight training, the future of space flight, new technological developments in propulsion systems, and “MRO Military,” a conference on maintenance and enhanced combat ability.
