Commerce Secretary Evans to Attend Show Tomorrow

Donald Evans, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, will visit the convention tomorrow, marking the first time since 1989 that a presidential cabinet member has made it to the NBAA annual meeting.

Evans is to meet with NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen and other business aviation leaders, and will discuss such matters as industry growth and access to foreign markets—the Secretary favors "aggressive, pro-active trade policy."

"We are very excited to have a key member of President Bush's economic team focused on the business aviation community," Bolen said. "His interest in the show reflects business aviation's emergence as a significant engine for our nation's economy."

Evans is to tour the trade show floor as well.
