Singapore Technologies Aerospace Center Stage at Asian Aerospace 2002

Singapore Technologies Aerospace holds center stage at Asian Aerospace 2002, with a wide range of products, services and technologies on display. Last year ST Aero-the aerospace arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering-launched its new company structure, which saw it divided into two distinct business areas-the Commercial Business Group and the Military Business Group.

This year the Commercial Group is focusing attention on three complementary business areas, underlining its capabilities in aircraft maintenance & modification, component/engine repair & overhaul and engineering, and maintenance services. Other important services on show are ST Aero's total aviation support programs for the C-130, F-5, Super Puma, Fokker 50 and Boeing 737.

In the military market, ST Aero has a range of aircraft upgrade options available, including helicopter avionics upgrades and the prestigious Falcon One upgrade for the F-16.

Another important emerging area for ST Aero is the passenger-to-freight conversion market, where the company has established a reputation for fast-turnaround solutions and consistent quality and reliability. ST Aero has two well-respected facilities at ST Mobile Aerospace Engineering, Mobile, Alabama and ST Aviation Services Co. (SASCO), in Singapore. Recent customers include Boeing and such freight carriers as Federal Express, UPS and DHL. Some recent conversion projects include a partnership with Boeing on the all-new 757 PTF, MD-11 PTF conversions, and the MD-10 PTF program with its advanced common cockpit configuration.
