Rockwell Collins, BF Goodrich Get Together on Airline Services

Asian Aerospace 2000 -- Rockwell Collins and BF Goodrich Aerospace have formed a strategic alliance to provide nose-to-tail equipment, parts, maintenance and services to airline customers.

Rockwell Collins brings its experience in avionics and in-flight entertainment systems supply, integration, maintenance, repair and overhaul to the partnership. BF Goodrich offers similar expertise in the fields of airframes, specialty avionics, landing gear, wheels, brakes, thrust reversers, safety systems and accessories.

"Rockwell is committed to growing its service business, and joining forces with an industry leader like BF Goodrich will help us reach a wider market and accelerate our growth," said Rockwell Collins president Clay Jones.

"Together we offer customers a single-service solution for the aircraft. Customers can now contact one source for MRO or service needs, delivered with the reliability of two MROs."

His BF Goodrich counterpart, Marshall Larsen, commented, "The combined capabilities offered through our alliance will translate to tangible and meaningful benefits for our airline customers. Our alliance with Rockwell Collins will enhance our recently launched customer-focused solution program, World Aviation Services, which combines e-commerce, information systems, and logistical support with our service competencies."
