BFGoodrich Launches First Terrain Awareness
and Warning System Interactive Website

BFGoodrich Aerospace has launched what it says is the first multimedia website designed to educate and demonstrate the new terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS) requirements. Entitled, "Discover," the interactive website content can be found at

www.bfgavionics.com/discover. Immersing users into real case flight scenarios, the website demonstration issues aural and visual warnings whenever controlled flight into terrain situations arise. Visitors can also experience flight situations when encountering premature descents, reduced required terrain clearance and imminent terrain impact. FAA's TAWS mandate applied to all fixed-wing aircraft turbine aircraft equipped with six or more passenger seats, and operated under Parts 91, 121 and 135.
