Embry-Riddle Offers First Online Courses

Three undergraduate degree courses are now being offered online by the Florida's Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Studying on the web, students can gain an associate or bachelor degree in aeronautics, or a bachelor of science in management of technical operations.

Details of the new courses were disclosed here Tuesday. Before the beginning of each term, textbooks and other hard-copy materials are sent to students, while supplemental online materials are posted to the course website. Online instructors interact with students to assist with class material and provide feedback on tests and assignments.

Prior learning credit may be given for coursework at other colleges and universities; for training with the U.S. military and other government agencies; national standardized tests; and certain aviation licenses and ratings. Complete B.S. programs cover professional development, aeronautical science, business, communications, computer science, economics, humanities, mathematics, physical science and social science.
