Honeywell for the Hawker 450

Honeywell will supply avionics and engines for Raytheon's new Hawker 450 mid-size business jet.

Two podded TFE741-40 turbofans will sit astride the new Hawker's rear fuselage, each rated at 4,250-lbs-thrust at sea level and having an sfc of 0.457. Honeywell will deliver an integrated propulsion system, pre-combining engine, engine buildup, mounts and thrust reversal system.

Avionics choice centers on the Primus Epic integrated suite, which incorporates such functions as traffic alert/collision avoidance and enhanced ground proximity warning--functions which would normally require separate avionics boxes and cockpit displays.
