Carlo K Nizam is the Head of Value Chain Visibility and RFID. He is leading the strategic development, industrialization and execution of all RFID activities across the Airbus company.
Carlo’s previous roles span aircraft design, operations management, procurement and supply chain management. His formal education includes a Bachelor and Master of Engineering degree from the University of Bristol.
Airbus is one of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers, and it consistently captures approximately half or more of all orders for airliners with more than 100 seats. Airbus' mission is to provide the aircraft best suited to the market's needs and to support these aircraft with the highest quality of service. Ken is responsible for overall technical management for the marking of parts within the Commercial Airplanes Group and is also the Boeing engineering representative to the Air Transport Association’s task force, which developed the industry standard parts marking format. His current focus is to establish an aviation industry standard for radio frequency identification of parts and certify their safe use on commercial airplanes.
Ken joined the Boeing Company in April 1980 and has held increasingly responsible positions within engineering and management in both the Aircraft & Missile Systems and Commercial Airplanes business units. His formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree earned at Southern Illinois University and a Master of Science degree earned at the University of Southern California.
